The town of Rimini

Rimini offers an efficient and modern tourist infrastructure and is world renowned for its hospitality and extraordinary ability to make people feel welcome. Throughout the year about 16 million visitors, from all over the world, flock to our city.Rimini is a cosmopolitan city but at the same time maintains its traditional Italian atmosphere, whether at the seaside or at the heart of the town: the historical centre. Ponte di TiberioThe ancient streets of Rimini and its characteristic allies are reserved for pedestrians and shopping is an absolute must: from the craftshops, with their traditional cloths weaved and printed in the Romagna-style, to the most prestigious designer boutiques. In the evenings, the warm atmosphere and the live music in the numerous pubs, wine bars, lounge-bars, and restaurants in the historical centre and the sea-front are the meeting places favoured by the young and by all of our students.Rimini, is renowned for the sea, for its famous sandy beaches, for its gourmet culture and its reputation as the capital for entertainment and leisure, but it also boasts an illustrious past, which dates back to the ancient Romans.

A LITTLE HISTORY
Rimini’s history begins on the beach: as long as 800.00 years ago primitive man wandered along the coast. Thousands of years before Christ in the surrounding areas of Rimini, the Etruscans gave birth to one of the most thriving centres of the Villanova period in Verucchio, located in the countryside areas of Rimini, which is documented today in the charming museum.
