If you live in Europe and your cellular is a GSM, you can use it in Italy, but you will pay an international fee even when you receive phone calls. If you do not live in Europe, ask your phone company if there is some sort of contract that will work with the four Italian companies (TIM, VODAFONE, WIND, 3). If there is a contract that will work with one of these companies, ask them to find out how to use your cellular in Italy.
Stores: The stores in Rimini that sell groceries are divided into 3 categories, those that are located by the train tracks towards the mountain, those by the train tracks towards the sea, and those by the sea. The first category is closed Monday afternoons and Sundays, during the summer and winter (with the exception of large supermarkets), the second category is closed Thursday afternoons and Sundays during the summer and winter, and the third category is open everyday in summer, during the winter they are closed Thursday afternoons and Sundays. This rule is valid for all other types of stores: clothing, shoes, bookstores, tobacco shops, and others. Almost all the pharmacies are closed every Saturday, but it depends on the zone that you are in; and on Sundays very few are open due to the fact that they rotate. The hairdressers are closed during the day on Monday. The time of opening for stores can vary depending of the type of store: supermarkets: 8:00-13:00/16:00/20:00 (variations are possible), all others: 9:00-13:00/16:00-20:00 (variations are possible).
